You are responsible for measuring and choosing your own size. Please measure carefully. Size charts are located on every dress detail page. Because you are selecting your own size, we will not give any refunds, returns, or exchanges if you order an incorrect size.

FAQ ANSWERS


• What is your Return/Exchange Policy?
All purchases are considered final sale. Because of the nature of the formal dress industry, we cannot offer returns or exchanges. If a dress is damaged or ruined during shipping, we will do our best to resolve the issue. Please see the next question below for what to do if your package arrives damaged. All other situations — including if the dress does not fit — are considered final sale.

• What if my order is damaged?
For your protection, please do not sign for merchandise until you have inspected the package for damage or tampering. Castle Couture makes every effort to prevent shipping damage and no dress or gown is shipped in anything less than brand-new condition. If you receive a package that appears to have been damaged during shipping: 1. Immediately contact the office of the shipping company (such as UPS or the Postal Service) for a Damage Inspection report; 2. Request that the shipping company return the package to the address listed on the package. DO NOT RETURN THE MERCHANDISE YOURSELF; we will not be able to accept merchandise returned by the customer. We will not accept a damaged package return that has been opened.
Any merchandise that is received as a damaged package will be re-shipped to you in new packaging. You will not receive a refund for the dress. Please see our Return Policy regarding refunds and returns.

We inspect every dress to make sure it is in perfect condition and exactly as ordered. If a defect is found, we will get a replacement from the manufacturer before we ship it to you!


• What types of payment to you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, including AmEx, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We do not accept layaways or down payments.

• What is the availability of the dress I want?
We do not know until after you place the order. Once your order has been received by us, one of our Castle Couture prom specialists will check the inventory with the warehouse(s) and manufacturer. If your dress is available, we will place the order immediately to ensure that your package arrives by your Wear Date, providing you have allowed enough time between ordering and shipping. If the dress you want is not available, your credit card will not be charged and we will notify you via email.

• Can you check the availability of several dresses I like before I place my order?
No. We are a real specialty salon servicing both online and in-store customers. Because of the volume of orders we receive, particularly during prom season, we simply are not able to do that.

• Can I place an order by phone?
We are sorry, but we cannot process phone orders.

• Are you an authorized retailer?
Yes, we are an authorized retailer of all the designers included on our web site. All of the gowns and dresses are genuine and are received directly from the manufacturer.

• What are your shipping charges?

• Do you charge Sales Tax?
No. New Jersey does not charge sales tax on clothing.

• Can I get a dress in a color that is not listed?
No, only the colors listed are available.

• Will the color of a dress I see online be the same as what I order?
We receive our images directly from the manufacturer. Clarity of details and accuracy of color may vary with technology and individual screen settings. Please note that a slight variation in color does not constitute an incorrect order.

• The dress I like is available in the color I want, but there isn't a photo of it in that color. Can you send me a photo of the dress in the color I want?
We regret that we cannot. All of the images of the dresses are provided by the manufacturer and they have given us all of the photos for each dress that they have available. Unfortunately, they do not always photograph every dress style in every color in which it is available.

• Can I order my usual size?
A link to each designer's size chart is located on the detail page for every item on our web site (right below the size options drop-down box). Sizes can vary dramatically between designers, so we urge you to use the size chart as your guide and order accordingly. You are responsible for choosing your size; we do not provide refunds or exchanges for items that are an incorrect size.

• Why do you ask for my "Wear Date"?
Knowing your Wear Date lets us know if we will have enough time to deliver your order before your event. Please be honest about your Wear Date. Some of the more popular styles may be backordered by the manufacturer. We make every attempt to deliver your order at least one week prior to your event. If you indicate your Wear Date as being earlier than it really is, your order may be canceled if we think we will not be able to deliver your dress by your Wear Date. If the Ship Date is within two weeks after our estimated receipt of the dress, you will be contacted with upgraded shipping options and estimated delivery dates. You can then let us know if you would like to continue with the order.

• When is my credit card charged?
Your card will be charged after we contact the manufacturer regarding the availability of the dress. If we determine you will receive it within one week of your Wear Date, we will then charge your credit card.
